Nibbles

According to Jim Hendry, there are 4 or 5 teams out there thinking of getting Sammy in a trade. That's good news, but most of them want the Cubs to pay most of his salary. Jim is stick, he can't make any deals until he can get rid of the Sam-I-Am-A-Man.
I still don't understand why he lied and said that he didn't want to be moved down in the line up. He call me in Milwaukee to request to be put down in the order, I have my wife as a witness and maybe the IRS who always tap my lines. So we are stuck.

Damn Steroids

The steroid problem in the majors may hurt our team next year. The Mets decided not to get Sammy because of the possibility that he has had a history of steroid use. So where does that leave the Cubs, they have several choices. If another team does not want Sammy, then we either have to keep him or release him. If we keep him, it will hurt our team moral and will keep us out of a winning season. If we release him, then the Tribune will still have to pay him and leaves the Cubs with little money to spend on other players. Now if the Tribune can claim or have drug testing results that shows that Sammy has been using steroids, then they can void his contract and get out of paying him his salary that he does not deserves. It does not look good for next year, but I know that I will get paid and will enjoy the off season of doing the mainly stuff that I like. Hunting, Fishing, drinking and having fun with the ladies.
This is what steroids will do to you ladies out there.
